“Imperial Route” on the Bryansk Land

Description:

“Imperial Route” on the Bryansk Land
I have been traveling this route for over 20 years. Bryansk to p. Elbow of tourists from all over Russia. But, if in previous years, such a trip included only one object - the Lokotsk Breeding Horse Factory, now it has been updated as part of the national tourist project "Imperial Route", which the Bryansk region became a participant in in 2019.
And the trip always begins with a trail tour on the theme: "Three secrets of the last emperor." During this tour, I tell tourists many amazing stories. After all, it was here on the Bryansk land, in the village of Lokot (formerly Lokot was considered part of the village of Brasovo) more than 140 years ago that one of the most luxurious estates of the imperial house was located. It was owned by the brother of Nicholas II, Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich. These places are associated with the dramatic love story of Mikhail Romanov and Natalia Brasova (nee Sheremetevskaya). It was here in the village of Lokot that they spent many unforgettable days and left a good memory of themselves. “We were really happy only in Paris and Brasovo,” Princess Natalia Brasovskaya later recalled.
The developed route in the Bryansk region includes a visit to the most significant and interesting places of memory of representatives of the Imperial House of Romanov and places of their highest stay: the program of the Imperial Route.
On arrival at p. Tourists are offered excursions to the Exhibition and Museum Historical and Cultural Center named after the Grand Duke - Martyr Mikhail Alexandrovich Romanov, a visit to the Lokotsky horse farm. It was founded back in 1842. In 1882, the Brasov estate was bought by the royal family for Grand Duke George Alexandrovich. After his death, the estate passed to Grand Duke Michael. Until the revolution, the Lokotsk Horse Factory belonged to Prince Michael, the brother of the last Emperor of Russia Nicholas II. Before the revolution, the factory was mainly trotters and harness horses like Belgian heavyweights. Until 1941, Soviet heavy trucks were bred here. The breeding of the Russian trotter Lokotsky plant began in 1945. Currently, the Lokotsk horse farm is rightfully considered the leader of the domestic trotter horse breeding. The greatest success was achieved in obtaining trotters of high sports class.
Today the total number of horses is more than 200 heads. Lokotsk horse factory was repeatedly recognized as the best in Russia. His trotters at all-Russian competitions constantly occupy the highest prize places.
Tourists will learn about this and much more during their visit to this unique enterprise. They will also be offered to ride horses, in a breech or in a sleigh! Communication with these amazing animals will not leave any of the children indifferent. During the tour, they will be able to feed the horses with sugar, carrots or apples.
Upon request (for a surcharge), it is possible to visit other most important and interesting places of memory of representatives of the Imperial House of Romanov and places of their highest stay: including the Kazan Bogoroditskaya Ploshchanskaya male desert, the park of the estate of Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich in the village of Lokot, etc.
