Three Secrets of A. K. Tolstoy

“Three Secrets of A. K. Tolstoy” is an excursion to the museum-estate of the wonderful Russian poet and playwright A. K. Tolstoy in the village of Red Horn of the Bryansk region. A poet, a writer, a playwright, a sharp satirist, a historian, a publicist – how did all this come together in one person? You will learn about this during our tour.
For more than twenty years I have been bringing tourists here to the Red Horn. Our task with them is to unravel the Three Secrets of A. K. Tolstoy, and for this you need to make an interesting literary excursion to the museum-estate of the wonderful Russian poet and playwright A. K. Tolstoy.
Our countryman became famous in many literary genres, he created the historical novel “Prince of Silver”, the dramatic trilogy “The Death of John the Terrible”, “Tsar Boris” and “Tsar Fedor Ioannovich”. In addition, he co-authored the immortal satirical image of Kozma Prutkov, and, finally, from his pen came such poetic masterpieces as “My Bells”, “That was early spring”, “Among the noisy ball” and many others.
Here in the village of Red Horn, A. K. Tolstoy spent both the early and later years of his life. The museum-estate of A. K. Tolstoy in the village of Krasny Horn is the only museum in Russia dedicated to the life and work of the remarkable Russian poet. Here he spent his last months, here and buried in the family crypt.
In 2017, all cultural Russia celebrated the 200th anniversary of the birth of our great countryman. But even today, three secrets: his birth, love and death, continue to excite the minds of admirers of his unique talent! That is, to solve them, you should definitely come here - to the village of Red Horn!
