In Bryansk, Alexander Peresvet was born - a legendary monk-warrior who participated in the Kulikovo battle and fell in combat with the Tatar hero Chelubei. Every year, September 8 is the day of memory of the monk-warrior of Peresvet. On this day, September 8, on the Kulikovo field, the monk-warrior Peresvet was the first to die in battle, indicating the Russian army the way to victory.
