Petro-Pavlovsk convent
Description:
The oldest abode of the Bryansk region - the Petro-Pavlovsk monastery of the city of Bryansk - can be compared with the cornerstone of the Orthodox faith in the Bryansk land.
The monastery was founded in 1275 and for centuries was revered by believers, especially due to the stay in it of the holy relics of its founder – the Venerable Prince Oleg Bryansky, who combined the service of a statesman with monastic austerity, and having retired from the reign, took care of his people with prayer and alms.
