White Lake

One of the favorite places of recreation and fishing of the inhabitants of Chuvashia is Lake White. It is located in the Yalchik district. More precisely, this is the southern area of the outskirts of the villages of White Lake and Field Burtasy.

Like many other lakes of Chuvashia, White Lake has a cup-like karst origin. With an oval shape, the lake has axes, the dimensions of which are 380 and 570 meters, and the total area reaches almost 18 hectares. The depth of the White Lake is small and varies only from 3 to 4 meters, but, despite this, thanks to the area, White is considered one of the largest among the 754 lakes of the republic (in third place, after the Black-40 hectares and the Big Swan - 30 hectares).

The peculiarity of the White Lake is the fact that it does not overgrow with reeds and mud, despite the fact that its surroundings abound with a variety of plants and trees.

Pure water, temperate continental climate, with warm summers and cold winters are favorable for the habitat of fish and waterfowl, as well as dungeons and beavers.
