8 km south of Klimovsk (M2 highway), Chekhov district, Moscow region, Russian Federation

Description:

The estate of Molodi appears in historical sources since 1649. In 1699, Peter the Great granted it to his associate, a member of the Grand Embassy Fyodor Golovin, who later headed the diplomatic department. During this period, large-scale stone construction unfolds in the estate of Molodi, a stone house, numerous outbuildings, a church appear. A vast park was laid out with a regular layout, arbors, pavilions, grottoes.

The next construction period refers to 1775-1778, when the entire architectural ensemble of the estate is being repaired. At the same time, the family tomb of the heads is built. Subsequently, repair work was also carried out with the following owners of the estate. The church is also being rebuilt - to the main volume of the "eight on four" type, chapels and two symmetrically located bell towers in the classical style were added. In the exterior of the church can be traced Western architectural trends.

The main house has been preserved to this day. From the once lush two-storey building, only the outer walls, as well as pediments, have actually been preserved. The former splendor reminds the park, which still traces the former layout.
