Vasino Manor

e. Vasino, Chekhov district, Moscow region, Russian Federation

Description:

The exact date of the foundation of the Vasino estate is unknown, but there is an assumption that it happened in the second half of the XVIII century, and the first owner was the landlord A.I. Plakhova. During the XIX century, the owners of the estate changed each other several times. The main house from the estate complex has been preserved, built in a rather rare Empire style for the Moscow region.

Hidden from prying eyes behind modern country houses, the lord's house is the only keeper of the history of the estate. The house is wooden, one-storey with mezzanine. On the main facade, the house is decorated with a six-column Tuscan portico, in the central part of the main volume there is a dome on a small drum, and lower side wings are crowned with decorative spires.

After the revolution, the estate was nationalized and subsequently abandoned. For some time there was a school, which because of the dilapidated mansion moved to another building. Currently, surrounded by the remains of an orchard, the building is not used and is gradually being destroyed.
