Picture Gallery - Chelyabinsk Regional

The Chelyabinsk Regional Art Gallery is an art museum of a universal classical type - according to the nature and content of the collection and activity. The collection of the art gallery includes more than 11 thousand works of painting, sculpture, graphics, decorative, applied and folk art, including house architectural wooden carvings of old Chelyabinsk. The collection consists of collections: arts of Europe and the East (foreign art), domestic art of the Middle Ages, modern and modern times, modern art. The originality of the collection is represented by collections of icon painting, old printed and handwritten books, copper-cast plastic and wooden sculpture, mainly collected in the Urals, reflecting the diversity of traditions of Ancient Russia: Pskov, Novgorod and Northern schools, Ukraine, the Volga region, the Urals and Siberia, and of course, the capital art of the ruble tradition, starting from the XVI to the XX century. Exhibition of old printed and handwritten books that form the basis of the Christian doctrine. The Bible, the Gospel, prologues, psalters, teachings, lives, apocryphas, triodies, flower beds, singing books and other genres of Christian literature - from the collection of the CHOCG and the Chelyabinsk regional scientific universal library; an exhibition of Russian icons dedicated to Christian holidays, the Mother of God and saints . Dedicated to the 2000th anniversary of the Nativity of Christ, an exhibition through the original monuments of ancient Russian culture of the XV-XIX centuries reveals the living meaning of the Christian idea and its embodiment in the word and image of the Russian culture of the new time. The exhibition aims to revive in consciousness and feeling the universal meaning of Christian culture, its vital relevance after two millennia. - The 1st personal exhibition in the halls of the CHOCG of a mature Chelyabinsk artist: a monumentalist and easel painter, graphic artist, sculptor, teacher. His art reflects the characteristic trends of the 1970s-1990s, is distinguished by a sharp sense of form, modern ironic-grotesque, honed and stingy. The exhibition reflects the mature creativity and skill of V. Mishin. Following the exhibition in the art gallery, he arranges his other person in the exhibition hall of the Union of Artists. 30 works were donated by the artist in 1998 to the museum of the city in which the artist was born, most of his life lived in his father’s homeland in Bulgaria. The art gallery is waiting for its countryman - 82-year-old artist for the opening of his exhibition - brightly emotional pictorial art of high artistic quality. For several decades there was a myth about the leadership of Chelyabinsk in the field of sculpture. Exhibitions of this type of fine art are extremely rare (that is, the grounds that lie in the very nature of sculpture). The need to present one of the most beautiful in the family of plastic arts - the art of sculpture, to see its evolution in the second half of the XX century - a natural and realized need in the modern artistic environment of Chelyabinsk.
