One-day trip to Porozhye HPP and Aisky cliffs

Porogi HPP is one of the oldest hydroelectric power plants in Russia, built in 1910. The HPP is located on the Big Satka River. It is a monument of industrial architecture. Around the HPP there are picturesque rocks and pine forest.

We will walk around the hydroelectric power station, look at it from several angles, learn the history and have a snack in the cafe-museum "Sandwich Poeli".

On the way to the next point - the large Ayan cliffs - we will stop at the village of Mezheva, where unique ancient lime stoves have been preserved. The Ay cliffs themselves are a tall, long rocky massif along the Ay River, impressive in size and beauty. The place is very popular among tourists, photographers and lovers of nature recreation.

For those who want more thrills, an extreme park is available: swings and a bridge over the abyss, trawls and rope jumps.

On the way back we will visit Satka, a small town with an interesting history and architectural and town-planning traditions. Here on one line of the city pond you can see an ancient iron foundry, an Orthodox church, an amusement park and attractions.
