Description:
The Argazin Reservoir is an artificial reservoir, which was created in 1939-1946 during the construction of the Argazinskaya HPP dam on the Miass River in the Chelyabinsk region. It is a reservoir of long-term regulation, its coastline is winding and unstable, with numerous bays, birch and pine forests approach the water itself. There are many small and medium-sized islands nearby.
Currently, the Argazin reservoir is the main reservoir of drinking water in Chelyabinsk. When it was flooded, Lake Argazi entered it. It should be noted that the reservoir has a great recreational value: on its banks there are numerous tourist bases. This place is also popular with fishermen.
