Description:
In many cities you can see funny and even funny monuments. In Chelyabinsk, there are similar art objects, the first place among which is occupied by a monument to a professional beggar, installed several years ago. It is located on Kirov Street, at the entrance to one of the banks. This place among the inhabitants of the city is often called "Chelyabinsk Arbat".
The bronze sculpture depicts a beggar who, with his bare feet between, sits on the sidewalk. He holds his head with one hand and holds his cap with the other. There is a funny legend that if you put a few coins or a couple of paper bills into your cap from the heart and stroke a bronze old man on the head, the most cherished desire will come true. If you do everything exactly, then luck and well-being will be your companions everywhere. A joke, but a bronze beggar does bring good luck. This is traditionally used by local "professional beggars" - many tourists, hearing the legend, put money in the cap, but once you step away - it instantly empty.
