The main "gate" of the city and even the whole of Siberia is the Chelyabinsk-Glavny station or just Chelyabinsk - a large node of the South Ural Railway. In 1892 the first train took its way. In 1965, a new railway station was built, which after reconstruction in 2005 acquired a modern look. Today, all those coming to Chelyabinsk, the railway station is met by a comfortable modern two-storey passenger room, capable of accommodating 6 thousand people.
Interesting fact: Chelyabinsk railway station is the only railway and road transport hub in Russia. RZD schedule is made in such a way that passengers can choose convenient routes using rail and road transport.
