The railway station
Description:
The railway station in Chelyabinsk opened in 1965. Located on the South Ural branch. From the station you can leave in several directions: Kazakhstan, the Far East, Western Siberia and Yekaterinburg.
At first, the opening of the station was a simple nondescript building, in which a couple of cash registers worked on force and there was a tiny hall for waiting. Gradually, the room fell into decline and the question arose about the construction of a new one. And in the early 2000s, the head of the South Ural Railway A. Levchenko proposed the idea of creating the Church of the Mother of God on the site of the station. Metropolitan Job of Chelyabinsk and Zlatoust supported him in this and laid the first stone. In their opinion, the image of the saint will keep all passengers.
The church was built in a matter of time. Five months later he was already consecrated. Externally, the temple very well resembles the ancient architectural style of the XII century.
