Lake Arey
Russia, Uletov district of the Trans-Baikal Territory
Description:
Lake Arey is completely fed by underground springs, no river flows into the reservoir. Its depth reaches 13.5 meters, and the water surface stretches on an area of 4.6 square kilometers. Back in 1769, expeditions of scientists were equipped to the lake to study the composition of water and Aryan mud, types of algae and quartz sand. Discovered in Area elements allowed to conclude that the lake water has healing properties. Later, there were even thoughts to organize a sanatorium here, but the remoteness from the roads and the only warm month of the year - July - became reasons to abandon the creation of hospitals.
And the water and curative mud of Lake Arey are indeed able to heal: the water is weakly alkaline, with a high content of potassium and silicic acid. Doctors came to the conclusion about the beneficial effect of dirt and water on the skin condition in dermatitis, psoriasis, various dermatoses, trophic ulcers. During a trip to Lake Arey, tourists can stop at one of the two tourist centers, or in the local sanatorium "Molokovka", where the Aryan mud is used for medicinal purposes.
