This time I invite you to visit with me an amazing place of the Nizhny Novgorod region - the ancient Vasilyov Sloboda, and now the city of Chkalovsk - the birthplace of the great Soviet test pilot Valery Pavlovich Chkalov.

Here we will take you on a fascinating walk through the territory of the museum quarter "Russian Wings", where we will visit the memorial museum of V. Chkalov - a genuine wooden house where the idol of millions of Soviet boys was born and grew up, and a hangar where the famous chkalov aircraft ANT-25 is stored, on which our hero crossed the North Pole for the first time in the world and reached the United States in 1937.

Then we have the Speed Museum. It is dedicated to the development of speed on the water - from the burlaks on the Volga to the amazing and powerful ekranoplanes, a hybrid of an aircraft and a high-speed vessel, a wide range of hydrofoils (the legendary Rockets, Comets and Meteors), surface hovercraft - all these high-speed vehicles on the water owe their appearance to the genius and perseverance of another famous Nizhny Novgorod resident - the brilliant ship designer Rostislav Evgenyevich Alekseev.

At the end of our excursion we will visit the enterprise of art crafts "Gorkov Gypure", where you will get acquainted with the world of traditional folk embroidery - Gorky Gypure, linen embroidered products from natural linen of a wide color range. You will see and be able to buy in the company store at the factory table and bedding, napkins, towels, souvenir products (sacks, napkins), baptismal sets, men's and women's clothing, interior and decor products with various options for embroidery and decoration.
