Description:
Usva is a river in the Perm Territory, the right tributary of Chusova. It begins on the western slope of the Main Ural Range at the foot of Mount Harius, flows in a southern direction and flows into Chusovaya near the city of Chusovoy. The length is 266 km. On the banks of the Usva iron ores and magnetic iron were found. The river was used for rafting. So, in 1899, 5 rafts were sent with a total weight of 990 thousand poods (about 16 thousand tons). In the language of Komi-Permyaks, “Usva” means “falling water with noise”. This name of the river was not accidental: throughout its length there are many rapids and rolls. However, from the language of Mansi Usva - "Narrow river", because it literally cuts through the mountain ranges of the Urals.
