I have been doing tourism in Dagestan and the Caucasus for several years. In this article I want to tell you about the beautiful places we organize jeep tours.

We in Dagestan have routes on which tourists have traveled since the times of the Union – these are officially registered routes. But there are no less beautiful and little visited by tourists places like this, my friends and I take tourists who either came to us for the first time or already again and want to see something new and unknown.

There are quite interesting routes along the main locations (for example: Sulak Canyon, Derbent, Gunib, Chokh, Gamsutl, Khunzakh, Saltyn Waterfall, Karadakh Rock, Goor and Kakhib, Samur Liana Forest, in general South Dagestan, most travel agencies, including myself, usually take these routes.

But there are routes to which units carry and they are for the most part much more attractive and with a pristine nature it is: multi-day jeep tours to historical places of Dagestan and unique geographical objects in the mountainous part of Dagestan in such areas as Untsukul, Gergebil, Gunib, Shamil, Tlyaratin, Tsuntin, Tsumadinsky, Botlikh and Gergebil, I also want to celebrate South Dagestan with its unique nature and river gorges.

In the treasury of tours there are also combined and trekking tours along the rivers and gorges of Dagestan. In tours we visit gorges, canyons, mountain rivers, reservoirs, passes with insanely beautiful views, waterfalls, mountain peaks, glaciers, ride boats on the reservoir, etc.

And of course, one of the most important things in the trip is food, national food of different peoples of Dagestan, several types of khinkal Avar, Kumyk, Lak, Dargin (not to be confused with khinkali), different types of Miracle (from meat, cheese, cottage cheese, greens, pumpkins), dried apricot porridge (dessert), urbech (this is a natural product of flax seeds and different types of nut more than 20 species), kebab (where without it), meat prepared according to different recipes of the peoples of Dagestan and fish in different types of sweets. Fruits, vegetables and berries, starting from spring strawberries, apricots, peaches, cherries and then all summer fruits, fruits...

And most importantly, all these products are grown by the caring hands of Dagestanis under the hot southern sun and watered with pure mountain melt water that flows from the tops of the Main Caucasus Range. That ultimately gives the food a unique taste. And our chefs will make this a masterpiece of cooking and you will feel it all when you come to us. After eating, you will feel culinary ecstasy, and from the views you will have aesthetic ecstasy (as one of the tourists said).
