"New Year's Tale in Dagestan"

Tour for the New Year 2023 (30.12.23 - 03.01.23)

Day 1 (30.12.22)

• Group meeting at Makhachkala airport. Recommended arrival time until 12.00. Guide with a sign "Tour name".

Today is a breathtaking day, and you will repeat for a long time “How beautiful!” Today we travel to the most fabulous places of Dagestan.

• We're picking you up from Makhachkala Airport.

Our trip will begin with an acquaintance with the Sulak canyon - the hallmark of Dagestan.

• First of all, it is customary to feed a guest in the Caucasus, our lunch will be held in a trout farm, where we will be offered a delicious trout or barbecue to choose from.
• Further, our way lies in the village of Dubki, it is here that a wonderful view of the Sulak canyon opens. Enjoying the beauty and grandeur of the canyon, we descend to the Chirkey Reservoir.
• Driving along the Chirkey Reservoir will charge us with positive emotions, which we will share on the way to the hotel.
• After all the adventures and upheavals (in a good way!), we go to Derbent for accommodation in the Scarlet Sails -3* hotel on the shore of the Caspian Sea.

Day 2 (31.12.22)

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Departure for the excursion program "New Year's Derbent".
• Today we will get acquainted with the main Dagestani fortress - Naryn Kala with its mysteries, powerful walls, secret places and panoramic views of the city.
• From the fortress we will go down to the streets of the Old Town, look into the unusual Juma mosque.
• You will see the traditional for the East Underground baths (Maiden baths), a place for washing before the marriage ceremony (external inspection).
• Visit the Derbent market.
• We will walk along modern Avenue along the fortress wall.
• We walk down Happy People Street and make a wish.
• We will finish the trip with the most delicious food in Dagestan - at an immersive meal in Etnodom. This is a feast-immersion in ethnic interiors with stories about the traditions and gastronomy of South Dagestan. You'll try dowd, dolma, miracle, baklava, isito and shah plov!
• Also for you will hold a master class on the preparation of a subtle miracle.
• Over tea, we will share the most beautiful events of the outgoing 2022 and make wishes!
• Then we will walk along the most beautiful waterfront. Let's take a beautiful photo of the main New Year's beauty.

Day 3 (01.01.23)

• Late breakfast.
• Today is a day of immersion in the real Caucasian culture! We will visit you in a Caucasian family in one of the mountain villages, get acquainted with the life and traditions of one of the many peoples of Dagestan. We will learn what real Caucasian hospitality is and try the eco-cuisine of the Caucasus.
• Moving to Khuchni is the center of Tabasaran district of Dagestan.
• Inspection of the Khuchna fortress "Seven brothers and one sister". The fortress is surrounded by many legends. All legends say that the fortress was besieged several times, but it remained impregnable.
  We will walk to the unique picturesque place of “little Switzerland” – Khuchninsky waterfall.
• We will stay in a real Caucasian family, where we will be treated to lunch from national dishes, taught to cook a “miracle” and show a master class on carpet weaving.
• Departure to Derbent with a stop for a photo shoot against the background of the legendary Caspian monster - "LUN" - the world's largest missile carrier - ekranoplan.
• Free time.

Day 4 (02.01.23)

• Early Dagestani breakfast.
• Today we are going to the heart of mountain Dagestan at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level - Khunzakh! Home of warriors and poets.
• We will see one of the highest waterfalls not only in mountainous Dagestan, but throughout the North Caucasus - Tobot waterfall. The waterfall adorns the Hunzakh plateau. There are several waterfalls, but this is the most picturesque! Near the village Khunzakh stretched Tsolotlinsky canyon, which breaks in the form of waterfalls three rivers. There is also an observation deck - from its height there is a stunning view!
• We'll visit Mochoh village. There we will see a picturesque mountain lake at an altitude of more than one and a half thousand meters above sea level. And every winter, the mountain lake on the outskirts of the village turns into a skating rink.
• Enjoy a delicious homemade lunch with beautiful views of the lake.
• Relax on the lake Mochokh (winter rolls on cheesecakes, skating, horse riding, winter tea from a samovar).

• Depart for Derbent tonight.
• Free evening.

Day 5 (03.01.23)

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Group packing.
• Moving to Makhachkala.
• We will get acquainted with Makhachkala - the capital of the Republic of Dagestan, the southern outpost of Russia. Makhachkala is a young capital. The city is not even two hundred years old, but the history here is stored so much that there is enough for many, many cities. We will visit the observation deck in Tarki-Tau, which offers a beautiful view and the whole city appears as if in the palm of your hand.
• Let's visit the Juma mosque.
• We will have lunch in the national cafe with dishes of national cuisine.
• Visit the modern interactive museum "Russia my history".
• We'll walk along the waterfront to the sound of the surf.
• We will visit the famous market in Makhachkala. We'll buy presents for ourselves and our family.
• Then we go to the airport and home! In love with Dagestan and with a great desire to return, relax, explore and get to know it more and more!
• Departure time from Dagestan is after 18:00.
