Tour programme

1 day

We will meet you at Makhachkala airport (Uytash) until 09:00. If you arrive the day before, just let the manager know. A later arrival is possible: let us know and we will adapt the program.

• We will get acquainted with each other at a welcome breakfast and go to the village of Kubachi, where since the Middle Ages mail and weapons have been made, jars of incredible beauty and unique things are carved from stone and wood.
• We will climb the four-storey watchtower, decorated in the national color of the museum, walk along the narrow streets of the old part of the village of Kubachi.
• And in the evening we will have a master class in jewelry! Kubachin silver is famous not only in Dagestan, but all over the world: the subtlety of work and intricate patterns are embodied in table silver, men's belts, women's bracelets.

2 days

To feel the spirit of the Caucasus, it is not enough just to come, see and leave. : It is important to immerse yourself in culture, life, abstract, smell. Today is an active day, intertwined with historical locations!

• After breakfast we will go for a walk to the abandoned village of Amuzgi. We will walk about 5 km and will be rewarded for our efforts with panoramic views of the mountains and the village of Kubachi. In the Middle Ages, this village was considered well fortified, and until the 20th century it was a center for the production of cold weapons.
• After lunch we will visit another abandoned village, Kala Koreish. According to legend, the fortress owes its appearance to the Qureish – this is an Arab tribe, from which the Prophet Muhammad himself was a native.
• Amazing medieval Islamic monuments in the mountains of Dagestan destroy wind and rain. They are safely hidden from prying eyes by mountain passes, so we have a little trekking, after which we go to Derbent, have dinner and gain strength.

Derbent is the oldest city in Russia, its old part is recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site. Shall we get to know him?

• Let’s start with a sightseeing tour: we will see the ancient fortress of Naryn-Kala, built in the VI century and the Juma Mosque; we will walk through the maghals – the labyrinths of the old city with ancient houses, forged doors. Previously, an intricate network of streets had a defensive value: if the enemy’s detachment managed to penetrate the city, the guards easily overtook the enemy, driven into a dead end, moving along the flat roofs of city houses.
• Walk along Mammadbekov Street along the northern fortress wall, see a picturesque view of the Caspian Sea and the southernmost lighthouse of Russia. We'll see the waterfront.
• Ekranoplan Lun is a Soviet-designed rocket ship nicknamed the “Caspian Monster”, the only completed of the eight planned. Once it was considered a strategically important, secret object, and now it is inhabited by seagulls and blowing the winds of the Caspian Sea. And yet the ship is striking in scale!

4 days

Breakfast in Derbent and go to the very south of Dagestan. Only a river will separate us from Azerbaijan, so tourists often receive congratulations from mobile operators on the beginning of their trip.

• We will arrange for ourselves activity - a walk to Zrykhsky waterfall, which plummets down from a height of about 25 m. At the beginning, the trail goes along a wide valley, then on small stones near the stream, and closer to the waterfall we will meet a picturesque gorge with the crossing of the river.
• Immediately after we go to relax in the thermal springs (Akhtyn baths). Discovered after the annexation of Akhty-pair to Russia, the sources quickly became popular. Over the four bathtubs were built small buildings with flat roofs, and the names have survived to this day: the bathtubs are called "soldier", "male", "female" and "officer".

5 days

Today we will get acquainted with the village of Akhty, visit the museum and observation deck.

• This place is one of the main attractions of southern Dagestan. The first mention of the village is found in the VI century. We will see the unique mountain architecture, the bridge built by the Italians and the local museum, the second in the number of exhibits in Dagestan. We will climb to the observation deck with the panorama of Akhta and fascinating mountain landscapes.
• We'll go to the airport at the end of the day. If you are captured by Dagestan, we will take you to Derbent, Kaspiisk or Makhachkala and part there. Share contacts, photos and make plans to go together on another trip :
