Diveyevo

Diveyevo is the fourth provision of the Mother of God on earth

Description:

Diveyevo is the fourth provision of the Mother of God on earth. Who has not heard of St. Seraphim of Sarov. Diveevo is a place of mass pilgrimage. Different people come here, and deeply believers for the purpose of pilgrimage, and tourists, travelers with a cognitive purpose - familiarization with national history. Pilgrims travel consciously and know why they came, where to go, what to do. And tourists, as a rule, do not really understand why and why they ended up in Diveevo. The fact is that Diveevo is not only a complex of monastic buildings, it is something more, so people are drawn here. Here the Mother of God gathered all her Grace, including from her first lot (Athon, Iberia, Kiev). Everyone here finds what is sometimes sought all his life. Arriving in Diveevo, everyone must visit the Trinity Church, where the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov are now resting.

An inexplicable feeling engulfs a person who enters service in this temple. It is as if the Queen of Heaven herself is present “tangibly” and blesses all those praying in the temple.

In the cathedral you can see some things that belonged to Father Seraphim: a robe, a paternal cross, epitrachil, leather mittens, shoes and cast iron. In this cathedral there is also a favorite icon of Father Seraphim “God’s Mother of Mercy”. After the Trinity Church, they usually visit the Canal of the Queen of Heaven. This is the place where, as they say, the feet of the Virgin herself passed. When a person steps on the groove, everything old remains somewhere far away. It is as if the law of attraction of the earth is violated. The feeling of lightness and, practically, flight, takes over everyone. The groove is surrounded by a garden, flowers and, as Father Seraphim bequeathed, a gooseberry is planted along the edges so that evil in any form does not penetrate into the Kanavaka.

And inside Kanavka, at one time, a maiden (mill) monastery was arranged, which became an integral part of the Diveyevo convent, it was she who was patronized by Father Seraphim. And although St. Seraphim of Sarov only once visited Diveevo during his life, it was through his prayers that this monastery developed. There will not be a flood of pilgrims to Diveyevo, to worship him. After all, everyone remembers the covenant of St. Seraphim: “When I am gone, go to my tomb as if to a living one and tell everything.” As if you're alive, talk to me. I will always be alive to you. This presence of the Monk is unusually real in the Diveyevo monastery.
