Oh. Divnomorsk

The resort village Divnomorskoye is part of the Gelendzhik group of resorts of the Krasnodar Territory, is 12 km along the highway and 9 km along the sea coast from Gelendzhik. Making a trip by sea, we see that the coast is steep throughout, with small cracks: composed of layers of marl, sandstone, clay shale. Between the shore and the water is a narrow strip of pebble beach. The Divnomorskoye opens from the sea with a wide picturesque valley of the Inogua River, formed by the confluence of two rivers - Mezybi and Aderba, which retained the Adyghe names. (Mezyb - Mezy - forest, be - many).
The climate is mild, rainfall does not exceed 750 mm. The microclimatic feature is the weakened influence of the Nord-Osts. The beach is small pebbles, the seabed is sandy.
Above the valley, on the Range of Markhot, two dolmen heroes rise: their eyes are turned for 5 thousand years into the vast expanses of the blue sky and the turquoise sea. Dolmens can reveal many secrets of distant times. This period includes the emergence of a settlement on the seafront, in the western part of the village of Divnomorskoye. By the Middle Ages belongs to the burial mound in the valley, at secondary school No. 12, of which, unfortunately, nothing remains. The other is located on the right bank of the Aderba River, in the area of 6 km, with burial rites in stone boxes, in funeral red clay urns.
In the XVIII - the first half of the XIX century. The Caucasus has become an arena for the collision of foreign policy interests of Russia, Turkey, Britain and France. According to the Adrianople peace treaty of September 2 (14), 1829, Russia withdrew the Black Sea coast from the mouth of the Kuban River to the fort of St. John. Nicholas (south of Poti). In 1830 the Black Sea coastline was created. One of them - Gelendzhik was founded on July 27, 1831. Russian ships began to come to the bay, bringing provisions for the garrison of the fortress. Sometimes such a ship went at night. Dimly burned the lights of the fortification to which he was heading. When approaching the shore, the captain was puzzled: the lights on which he went did not belong to the Gelendzhik fortification, but to the Natukhai Aul Mezyb. Also, the outlines of the coast resembled the Gelendzhik Bay. Therefore, this place from the 30s of the XIX century. the name False or False Gelendzhik was fixed.
Since 1896, False Gelendzhik as a dacha was part of the Black Sea province. After October 1917, the Civil War, in 1920, the dachas were transferred to health resorts. July 13, 1964 the village was renamed the village of Divnomorskoye.
