The literary department of the museum is located in the house of brother I.A. Bunin - E.A. Bunin. The exposition halls tell about the Bunin family and about the life and work of Ivan Alekseevich Bunin. The historical department of the museum contains the richest material about the history of the region, from ancient times to the present day. The expositions of the museum tell about fellow countrymen - outstanding figures of science and art: Honored Artist of the RSFSR L.M. Fetisova, People's Artist of the USSR, State Prize laureate, composer and conductor K.K. Ivanov, famous aircraft designer V.M. Myasishchev. The museum funds contain a collection of paintings by member of the Union of Artists of the USSR A.P. Gushchin. Numerous exhibits collected by archaeological expeditions during the excavations of the basin of the river Beautiful Sword, confirm the presence of Sarmatian tribes in 3-4 centuries BC on the territory of modern Ephraim region. |
