Square near the Opera House
ooh Mamina-Sibiryaka, 143, Yekaterinburg, Russia
About the company:
The Opera and Ballet Theatre in Yekaterinburg is one of the city’s dominants. Stately and classically elegant, it attracts the attention of guests and residents of the city with its expressive appearance, as well as the beauty and convenience of the square in the territory adjacent to the theater.
Framing the temple of art, the square is like its logical addition. Some laconic, but picturesque, spiritual frame.
In 2012, a large-scale reconstruction of the square was planned and carried out. New walking paths will be broken, rotundas and a fountain will be reconstructed, seating will be arranged in the local amphitheater. In addition, there will be a new artistic lighting. The main purpose of the reconstruction is to connect the theme of art and family recreation.
