Berlin bears

The bear and bear sculptures, or as they are affectionately called the Berlin Bears, belong to the non-profit project United Buddy Bears. The first bear became a gift from Germany to Yekaterinburg as a sign of friendship between the countries, four years later in 2011, a friend joined the friendly bear.

Berlin bears in Yekaterinburg, like more than a hundred of their brethren in different cities around the world, with their raised paws and smiles symbolize friendliness and tolerance. The heroes of the fairy tale “Bremen Musicians” adorn the first bear, this is the coloring option of many other participants in the competition was chosen by the Consul General of Germany in 2007. The figure of a female bear (she is in a cute cap and shoes with bows) depicts a ribbon with the inscription “Let the walls fall”, which not only reminds of the past, but is also a sign of today, when most of the countries of the world take a step towards each other.
