The Palace of gaming sports "Uralochka" is located in the central part of the city of Yekaterinburg. He is a neighbor of the stadium "Dynamo" and together with him represents a single complex of sports and health.
The complex consists of two blocks: a sports and auditorium with a capacity of 5 thousand seats and training halls with administrative-type rooms and a hotel. The main purpose of the palace is to hold large-scale international competitions, including various sports: mini-football, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, dance. Here athletes compete in wrestling, boxing and fencing.
Like any other institution of this kind, the Palace of Gaming Sports also needs expansion and reconstruction. The design and construction of the facility is handled by the Austrian firm E. Furman Baugeselshaft. The construction of the first stage of the sports and visual hall was started in 2001. The total area of the hall is 20898 sq. m.
The palace is currently actively expanding. The plans include the construction of the Olympic Reserve Training Center and several other administrative facilities. In the future, the creation of several children and youth sports schools.
