Kharitonov Garden in the city of Yekaterinburg

Description:

Kharitonovsky Garden is a park in Yekaterinburg, adjacent to the estate of Rastorguevs - Kharitonovs. The park was founded in 1826. In the park there is an artificial lake with a bulk island and a round rotunda gazebo. According to some reports, there are old underground passages under the park, one of which was discovered after the collapse in 1924.

According to legends, the merchant-oldover Lev Ivanovich Rastorguev, fearing persecution, paved the passages from the house through the park, under Voznesenskaya Square to the city pond. According to other legends, these moves are the remains of secret tunnels where Rastorguev mined gold.
