Rotunda on the embankment of the Iset River
Yekaterinburg, embankment of the Iset River
Description:
Rotundas were installed on the Iset embankment, they are arbors made of bronze with carvings. One is located near the gymnasium No. 9, the second in the walking area of the historical square. Rotundas were intended for citizens who could admire the city pond and the surrounding panorama. The authors preferred to make a gazebo of bronze, rather than cast iron, hoping that over time the metal will darken, and the water will provide a greenish hue, so the rotunda will have a historical appearance. The construction and installation took almost six months. Funding was provided by the city administration.
