About the company:

The memorial house-museum of P.P. Bazhov is the house in which the writer lived with his family, and in which all the famous tales included in the collection “Malachite Box” were created. The museum was opened on February 3, 1969, the exposition presents the original furnishings of the office, dining room and children's rooms, things of P.P. Bazhov and his family members. The permanent exhibition gives an idea of the life and work of P.P. Bazhov.

The museum hosts traditional excursions around the house; for the youngest visitors, the tour is carried out in a playful form (a trip around the house is preceded by the play of the tale “Fire-Poskakushka”); curious guests additionally get acquainted with the kingdom of the Mistress of the Copper Mountain (an excursion with stones). The Bazhov family, as well as their friends and acquaintances, donated a rich archive to the OMPU funds, so during the year the exhibitions change in the museum, and with the mobile exposition P.P. Bazhov. Museum staff can also go to other venues. Thousands of Ural schoolchildren remember Pavel Petrovich coming to their school. He told about the Urals, its history, people inhabiting this amazing region.
