About the company:

The Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts is the largest art museum in the Urals. The year of its foundation is considered to be 1936, although the history of its collections dates back to the last quarter of the XIX century and is associated with the activities of the Ural Society of Natural History Lovers.

The exposition of Russian art of the XVII - early XX century is expressive and diverse in its composition. The works presented in it consistently reflect the main stages of the development of domestic art of this period. Here is exhibited the iconography of the masters of the Moscow school and the Russian province of the XVII-XX centuries, where the main attention is paid to the works of local Ural writing - the so-called Nevyansk icon. Russian painting of the XVIII - early XX century is represented by paintings of such famous artists as V.L. Borovikovsky, V.A. Tropinin, A.G. Venetsianov, I.N. Kramskoy, A.I. Korzukhin, N.A. Yaroshenko, A.K. Savrasov, I.I. Shishkin, I.E. Repin, B.M. Kustodiev, K.A. Korovin, A.N. Benois, S.Y. Sudeykin, K.F. Yuon and others.

The extensive collection of decorative and applied art of the Urals includes stone-cutting and cutting art, demonstrating products of the traditional Ural craft of the XVIII - early XXI century, Zlatoust decorated weapons and engravings on steel, Nizhny Tagil painted tray and author's jewelry art of recognized masters of the 1970-2000s of the Ural and Moscow schools.
