About the company:
The Museum of Nevyansk Icon is a private collection of a unique collection of icon painting, which was opened in 2003. The founder of the museum was the Yekaterinburg deputy and people's poet Roizman. At the beginning of its history, the museum was located in a tiny room. Over time, a large two-storey building was allocated for him.
The first floor is occupied by the works of modern Ural artists. The second floor is completely given to the Nevyansk Icon. The oldest icon of the Mother of God dates from 1734, and the youngest was painted in 1919. In total, the museum fund has more than six hundred exhibits. In addition to icons, there are crosses, ancient church books, salaries, wooden sculptures.
Currently, only a part of the exhibits is on display, since most of them are either under restoration or stored in a reserve fund.
