In our age, when entire deposits are fully exploited, the last hope of preserving at least a small part of mineralogical individuals and their associations is a museum.
March 7, 2000 enthusiasts and lovers of stone in the city of Zarechnoy created a municipal institution of culture (ZMUK) "Museum of Mineralogy, Stone Carving and Jewelry Art". The basis of the exposition was a private collection of a veteran of War and Labor, one of the oldest workers of the Berezovsky mine named after S.M. Kirov - Selivanov Nikolai Petrovich, collected in the 50-70s of the last century.
The total number of storage units is more than 1500 exhibits.
The exhibition area is 220 m2.
