Damn Township

Granite rocks-remainers Devil's Gorodishche are in a pine forest on top of a mountain 7 km south of the st. Ize. The rocks, consisting of stone slabs superimposed on each other, up to 20 m high, are one of the most mysterious monuments of the Ural nature. The main complex Devil's Fortress is a set of ten expanding upwards dark gray towers of varying height and massiveness, separated from each other by deep, narrow vertical crevices. The origin of the name of the rocks can be explained by the unusualness of their appearance: such a pile of stones as if created by evil forces. Granite remnants among coniferous forests, rugged granite quarries of hoops, dressed in green fur coats and similar to huge tents ... All this wild beauty is the unique appearance of our region, so native, but not yet sufficiently studied.
