Between Europe and Asia: Yekaterinburg, Kazan in 8 days. Author's tour"
Description:
Ural character and Eastern hospitality in one journey.
This journey is a bridge between two worlds. In a week, you will connect the contrasting facets of Russia: the industrial power of the Urals and the eastern charm of Tatarstan. We will go from the “red line” of history to the “blue line” of transparent lakes, from the mystery of the royal family to the grandeur of the Kul Sharif mosque.
This route is the fruit of my personal experience, built to show the maximum depth and diversity of two unique regions. This is the perfect tour for those who want to see not only the cities, but also the soul of the places: their nature, faith and culture.
Your eight-day trip to the two capitals of Russia:
Part 1: Ekaterinburg.
Day 1. Arrival in the capital of the Urals.
Arrival in Yekaterinburg, check in at the hotel. The first evening is your time to feel the energy of one of the most dynamic cities beyond the Urals.
Day 2: The Red Line: History and Modernity.
We dive into the city and walk along its famous route. We begin with the place of memory, the Temple on Blood. Then - the mysterious park of the Kharitonov-Rastorguev estate, the symbol of the city - the City Pond and Plotinka. The contrast of epochs is felt in the interactive Yeltsin Center and in the business square of 1905.
Day 3. Nature of the Urals: Park "Deer streams".
We are going to one of the most beautiful natural parks in Russia. Hiking trails along the Serga River will lead to rocks and caves Along the way, we will make a symbolic stop on the border of Europe and Asia. In the evening - an informal walk along the pedestrian street Weiner, Ural "Arbat".
Day 4. Spirituality and height.
A trip to the Ganina Yam tract to the monastery of the Royal Passion-Bearers - the place of memory of the last royal family. An atmosphere of peace and quiet.
Return to the urban rhythm in the skyscraper "Vysotsky". A visit to the Vladimir Vysotsky Museum and the culmination is an observation deck on the 52nd floor. A breathtaking panorama of endless Yekaterinburg at sunset.
Logistics Bridge: Night on the way
In the evening we board a comfortable night train - the most reasonable and atmospheric way to get from Yekaterinburg to Kazan. You save a day on moving and have a good rest.
Part 2: Kazan.
Day 5. Arrival in Kazan: the meeting of East and West.
In the morning, arrival, settlement. We begin our acquaintance with the city from Bauman Street, reach the heart of Kazan – the Kremlin. We admire the harmony of the Kul Sharif mosque and the Annunciation Cathedral. We end the day on the modern Kremlin embankment.
Day 6. Island town Sviyazhsk.
We go to the unique city-island of Sviyazhsk, founded by Ivan the Terrible. All day walk along the quiet streets, go to ancient monasteries and temples of the XVI century. It is a place of frozen history and incredible energy.
Day 7. Nature and panoramas of Tatarstan.
• Go to the natural reserve - "Blue Lakes" (Small, Large, Flowing). Their water is so clear that you can see the bottom even at a great depth. A great place for a quiet walk and unusual photos.
In the evening we go up to the center of the Kazan family. We meet the sunset on the observation deck overlooking the Kremlin - one of the best views of the city.
Day 8. Secrets of the Old Tatar Sloboda.
The last day is dedicated to authentic Kazan. We walk around the Old Tatar Sloboda with its bright houses and a sense of national color. We're taking a boat ride on Lake Kaban. Explore the main street of the Kremlin. After lunch, transfer to the airport.
Key features of the tour:
• Checked out: This route is not a set of points on a map. I wrote it myself and passed it to combine the history, spirituality, nature and modernity of the two regions in one rich but logical journey.
• Smart logistics: We live in hotels in Yekaterinburg and Kazan. Outside the cities, we drive a rented car for complete freedom. The key crossing between cities is by night train, which saves a whole day. Any part of the way can be replaced by a transfer or an individual tour.
• Flexibility is the basis of the tour: The program is the perfect framework, but it can be changed. For example, in Yekaterinburg, you can add a trip to the museum of military equipment in Upper Pyshma, and in Kazan - replace the day with a visit to the Riviera water park or add a trip to the ancient Bolgar.
You can change the balance between the city and nature at will.
What do you get?
• A step-by-step plan for each day, taking into account the time to travel and visit objects.
My personal recommendations on restaurants with Ural and Tatar cuisine, the best places for photos and hidden corners from tourists.
• Assistance in selecting and booking hotels, buying tickets and renting a car.
• Support throughout the journey.
The cost of the tour.
The final price is formed individually after consultation. It is influenced by: the season, the category of hotels, the type of rental car, the choice of additional excursions and the composition of your group.
