Monument to the Cavalry Maiden Durova N.A

Monument to the cavalry maiden Durova N.A. is located in the city of Elabuga. The first female officer in the Russian army, Nadezhda Alexandrovna Durova, was born in this city and died here at the age of 82. The famous native of Elabuga participated in the battles of Gutsadt, Heilsberg, Friedland and was signed by the name of Alexandrov.

The bronze monument was erected in 1993, on Kazanskaya Street, in front of the Trinity cemetery, where the grave of Durova is located. Its authors were the sculptor F. F. Lyakh and the architect S. L. Buritsky. The female cavalrywoman and writer is depicted in full combat readiness, in military uniform, with weapons and on horseback.
