House-Museum of T.N. Khrennikov (branch)

Tikhon Nikolaevich Khrennikov (10.06.1913 - 14.08.2007) - an outstanding composer, Hero of Socialist Labor, People's Artist of the RSFSR and the USSR, teacher, prominent musical and public figure, Honorary citizen of Yelets, Honorary citizen of the Lipetsk region.

On September 10, 2000, the grand opening of the country’s only house-museum of T.N. Khrennikov took place. A great help in creating the exhibition was provided by the composer himself. Today, with a few exceptions, its historical layout is preserved in the house. The exposition of the museum contains objects belonging to Tikhon Nikolaevich: manuscripts, claviers, scores, books with the composer's autographs, photographs, paintings, gramophone records, household items, souvenirs from different countries. Visitors will learn many interesting facts about the life and work of the composer, the cultural life of the 20th century.
