Tsagan-Hagh lake

Lake Tsagan-Hagh is located on the territory of the natural reserve "Rostovsky" on its fourth island part. The name Tsagan-hag in translation from Kalmyk means "white silt", most likely due to the fact that the lake is located on a salt marsh area. It periodically dries up, that’s when white salt appears on the surface, which gave the name to the protected lake. It represents the spring water-filled salt marsh with towering islands and the cape of the root bank entering the lake, which is an incredibly beautiful sight!
