Tsar Lake

Tsaryk Lake is one of the salt lakes in the Yashalta district of the Republic of Kalmykia. The lake is located near the village of Solene, its area is, according to the latest data, 18.2 square kilometers.

Tsaryk, which is part of the Manych group of lakes, has a relic origin, that is, its occurrence is associated with the formation of accumulative forms such as rashes and braids, which is undoubtedly of natural value for scientists. Usually, by the end of summer, Tsaryk Lake completely or partially dries up, and then again returns its unique nature!
