Church-chapel of Sergius of Radonezh

Church-chapel of Sergius of Radonezh Elista (Kalmykia) is another ascribed temple of the cathedral in the name of the Kazan icon of the Most Holy Mother of God of Elista and Kalmyk diocese. The building is located in the seventh microdistrict of the city.

The chapel was inaugurated in May 2005 and was designed by the famous architect B. Moshuldaev. Famous officials of the city took part in the solemn consecration. For construction used red brick, at the top of the temple is a dome with a cross. The style of buildings is typical medieval. The main feature of the chapel is the gold carved names of tens of thousands of soldiers who took part in the battles for Russia. Inside the temple are the relics of the holy Great Martyr Fadeus.
