Elista Airport
Description:
The main airport of the capital of the Republic of Kalmykia Elista is located twenty minutes drive from the city center.
Despite the recent large-scale renovation, Elista Airport is not in the best of times - after problems with financing in 2012, it was decided to put the airport up for auction. The airport will soon be sold into private hands.
Today, Elista Airport continues to receive international flights. The following types of aircraft are generally accepted: Tu-134, Yak-42, An-12, CRJ-100 and CRJ-200.
