Tour programme

Day 1

Volgograd - Elista

Meeting of the group at 8:00 at the railway station in Volgograd or at 13:00 at the Marco Polo hotel in Elista. After the meeting, on a comfortable minibus you will go to explore the city of Elista. Visit and visit the huge Buddhist datsan "Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni", city sights and objects of the chess Olympiad. Lunch with national cuisine. Visit to the Museum of Nomadic Peoples of Kalmykia. Hotel night.

Day 2

Elista - Adyk

Breakfast. At 9:00 travel to the village of Adyk. Inspection of the source with “burning water”. You can burn the water and put it out yourself. Fantastic sight! Visit a large sandy barchan and a pink lake. National dinner at a local resident's. Acquaintance with traditional customs of Kalmykia. Hotel night.

Day 3

Elista - reserve "Black Lands" - Wonderful

Breakfast. Hotel eviction. Departure to the island and tulip fields in the reserve "Black Lands". This is one of the youngest natural reserves in Russia, created to protect and replenish the population of rare representatives of the flora and fauna of Kalmykia, in particular the saiga and the unique tulip. On the way you can see colonies of birds on lakes (pink pelicans, curly pelicans, gulls, spoons, cormorants). Lunch in nature. Walking through fields with colorful tulips. Photo shoots. Back to the hotel. Dinner. Night in the guest house in P. Wonderful.

Day 4

Wonderful - Elista - Volgograd

Breakfast. Moving to Elista. On the way, you will stop at a lonely poplar. It is a natural monument that was planted by a Buddhist monk in 1846. There are many Buddhist stupas and ritual structures around. From here there are beautiful views and just nice to walk. Arriving in Elista. End of program. Our tour of Kalmykia ends, and the memories and emotions of the time spent here will stay with you for a long time!
