District Historical and Local Lore Museum is a municipal institution of culture, the main subject of activity is the search, study, acquisition and storage of objects of material and spiritual culture of the Komi people and other peoples inhabiting the Knyazhpogost district. The museum also studies the history, nature of the area, completes funds for outstanding countrymen, promotes knowledge of traditional Komi culture. Organizes exhibitions, conferences, meetings with interesting people, local historians. Founded in 1969 in June on a voluntary basis, in 1990 it goes into the state network. Since then, the activity has become more scientific. |
