Oh. Evpatoria

Yevpatoria is a small seaside town on the Crimean Peninsula.

Population: 108,248 (2020). Every year, up to 1 million people come to rest and treatment. Evpatoria is located in the steppe north-western part of the Crimea. The city stretches a 12-kilometer strip along the shallow Kalamite Bay. Golden sand, clean and soft, clear water of the sea, the hollow bottom of the bay created glory for Yevpatoria beaches as one of the best far beyond the Crimea.

There are few resorts where almost all natural healing factors are so fully represented: unique mud and brine, sea and mineral waters, air and sun, sand and healing plants. In the vicinity of the city - to the east and west of it - scattered lake-limans Otar-Moynak, Yaly-Moynak, Sasyk-Sivash. Great healing power have mud and water of these lakes, highly concentrated salt solution - brine. It is better to relax in Evpatoria in autumn, at the end of the so-called velvet season, when the influx of holidaymakers decreases.

The All-Russian Congress for the Improvement of Domestic Medical Areas recognized Evpatoria as a resort of national importance. Evpatoria began to expand and improve. The modern Theatre Square was architecturally decorated. The best theater in the south of Russia after the Odessa Opera House was built here, the Alexander II Public Library (now named after A. S. Pushkin). The western part of the city is being improved - the so-called dacha district and Evpatoria began to "come into fashion" as a dacha. In 1913, the first tram appeared in the city, and in 1915 the Sarabuz-Evpatoria railway line was brought to Evpatoria, connecting Evpatoria with the Sevastopol-Moscow highway. In 1985, the first children's music festival was held in the city, in 1991 - the 1st International Festival of Children's Theatres. In 1995, the regular sea line Evpatoria-Istanbul was opened, and in 1997, by the Decree of the President of Ukraine, the city of Evpatoria was awarded the status of All-Ukrainian Children's Health Resort.
