Russia, 98100, Crimea, Feodosia, Quarantine, St. Port, 16

Description:

The resort town of Feodosia is associated with a couple of beaches, where tourists are offered a visit to educational excursions. However, there are people who come there to worship the altars of popular religious buildings such as the temple of the Iberian Icon of the Mother of God.

This is a small building built of Crimean stone. Visitors will enjoy the almost pristine view of this shrine, so against its background they like to be photographed. The temple is slightly below the main feodosian cathedral of John the Theologian.

From the Italian bastion, this object is separated only by a pedestrian descent. It should be noted that the icon of the Iverian Mother of God is still one of the most revered Orthodox shrines today.

The view of this structure has preserved the idea of standing here in the 14th century building. As for the central portal, it is framed by an arch - the passage is framed by openwork carvings of stone. At one time, a large number of Armenians lived there, who had a strong influence on the development of cult Crimean architecture. The old part is topped with an 8-migraine drum.

The temple can be visited during various services. Holidays are celebrated there by the flock according to the plan of the Orthodox calendar. The nearest stop "Gorholy", where there are shuttle taxis No1, 2A, 14 and 15. Then there will be a little more than 300 meters along the Hospital Lane and the descent, which leads to the dead end of Portovaya Street.
