Wine tour of ancient wineries of Novorossiysk

Novorossiysk is one of the centers of winemaking in the Krasnodar Territory, not inferior to wine centers like the Anapa, Crimean regions and the Taman Peninsula. Unlike these places, Novorossiysk wineries are located near the Black Sea, which creates a special terroir for growing grapes. Novorossiysk wineries have a rich history that began in the 19th century and are distinguished by their winemaking culture, which creates its own highlight for fans of domestic wine and interesting legends.

You will visit two old wineries: Abrau-Durso and Myshako. Follow the stages of wine production, get acquainted with the technology of sparkling wine production in the classical champagne way. And you will also admire the stunning local nature: mountains, hills, lake and sea.

What awaits you:

• Picturesque views. You will walk along the well-groomed embankment of Lake Abrau and the art park with interesting installations, climb to the lakeside observation decks and admire emerald water from a height. For lovers of natural products, I will show farm shops with delicious cheeses, and for connoisseurs of handmade - unusual products at the art bazaar. In the evening we will watch a laser show of singing fountains.
• Abrau-Durso Wine House.
• Abrau-Durso is famous not only for its fascinating landscapes, but also for its interesting history. You will learn how Lake Abrau was formed and how it destroyed the whole Adyghe aul. And also: how these places are connected with Prince Golitsyn and under what circumstances there was a wine house, which began the era of Russian champagne.
• Myshako winery.
• Myshako is one of the country’s oldest wineries, known for exquisite drinks for luxury dinners. You will learn about all stages of making elite wine: from grape harvesting to the labeling shop and the production of finished products. And also reveal how Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev is connected with the winery and who is the “Wizard”. Take part in the tasting and admire the surrounding mountains and hills.
