Description:
Guam Gorge is a unique natural monument, hidden between the ridges of Guam and Lago Naca. The territory of the gorge is a real open-air museum, in which the Kurjips River valley, the oldest tropical plants and thermal springs are located. There is also a railway for viewing the species, a hotel and a cafe.
The gorge lies in the southern part of the Krasnodar Territory, between two villages - Guamka and Mezmay (Apsheronsky district). The length of the gorge is 3 kilometers, and the depth in some places is about 400 meters. The width of the crevice is uneven, in the narrowest area it is approximately 2 meters.
Guam Gorge is extremely rich in natural attractions. The canyon amazes with the variety of vegetation. Shrubs and trees are intertwined in the extraordinary beauty of the picture. Climbing and active river canoeing are developed.
To get to the gorge, you need to make a long way by car from the city of Absheronsk to the village of Guamka. To visit the natural monument, the district center provides daily taxi flights and excursion tours.
