Gelendzhik

Crutch Beach

On the Tolstoy Cape, near the Gelendzhik lighthouse

Description:

Wild beach called "Krucha" in the city of Gelendzhik is located behind the Fat Cape and you can visit it freely at any time of the day. I remember this place with its beauty and solitude.

The beach is surrounded by mountains with juniper trees, pine trees and oaks, which makes the air in this place quite clean and fresh. Large pebbles and scorching sun do not contribute to easy rest, it is worth preparing well for it, but the views that can be enjoyed from the beach and from the observation decks are worth it. In addition to the beach itself, you can visit several temples, a lighthouse and much more nearby.

Gelendzhik lighthouse was built in 1985, the tower has a height of 50 meters, but in the 99th year of the 19th century in its place stood a wooden box, the spotlight of which was an ordinary lamp with kerosene.

In 2017, a completely new temple was also built near the beach, dedicated to the Great Martyr George the Victorious. Anyone can visit the temple and enjoy its cultural values.
