Russia, Nizhny Novgorod region, Gorodets, Embankment of the Revolution
Description:
The embankment of the Revolution is considered the most beautiful street of Gorodets. Its former name is Alexander. On the embankment there are ancient merchant houses, the facades of which are richly decorated with the famous city carving. And Dementieva’s house is a federal architectural monument.
The embankment of the Revolution is located on a mountain, from here there is a delightful view of the great Volga. Here in 1993 was erected a monument to the legendary commander Alexander Nevsky. To the bank of the Volga you can go down a steep staircase. Below are the museum and tourist complex “City of Masters”, built in the traditions of ancient Russian wooden architecture, and shopping arcades.
