About the company:
Museum and tourist complex "City of Masters" was opened in Gorodets in 2010. It represents the stages of development of architecture of the Nizhny Novgorod region of the 16-19 centuries. Here is a unique opportunity to see the history of magnificent city house carvings. To date, there are no analogues of this object in Russia.
The expositions of the complex represent the whole variety of folk art crafts of Gorodets: works of Russian painting, urban painting, gold embroidery, as well as embroidery in the style of hypures, woodcarving pottery Zhbannikov whistle.
In the “City of Masters”, visitors are invited to take part in master classes on city paintings, clay toys, as well as to get acquainted with traditional methods of working with various materials: fabric, clay, wood. The Hall of Traditional Rites invites you to the ceremony of tea drinking "Ivan-Tea" with the famous city gingerbread. Also for guests often performs folklore ensemble “Gorenka”.
