Grayvoron Museum of Local History

Municipal state institution of culture "Grayvoronsky Museum of Local History" was founded on August 7, 1996, the basis of the collection were exhibits from private collections of residents and school museums of the district. The museum is a research and educational institution that carries out acquisition, storage, study and popularization of monuments of natural history, material and spiritual culture of Grayvoron region.

The museum collection currently has more than eleven thousand units, of about ten thousand belong to the main fund. The basis of the museum collection are unique items of ethnographic and archaeological direction. The museum staff is constantly actively working to replenish the fund with household items, products of craftsmen and crafts, audio and video materials on the traditional folk culture of the region, which significantly expands the museum collection.
