Fountain "Night"

Gurzuf was once considered the most popular place among the Russian rich. They not only admired the beauty of the peninsula, but also tried to make it better. Thanks to them, the beautiful fountain “Goddess of Night” appeared, which continues to please residents and tourists.
The fountain appeared thanks to the merchant Gubonin. The merchant visited the world exhibition held in Vienna, and was so inspired by the presented works that he decided to order a copy from Russian masters and installed in the Gurzuf estate.
In addition to "Night", 4 more works were performed. Only two survived the war, the Goddess of the Night and Rachel.
The fountain is made in the style of Greek mythology, Baroque style. The main figure is the goddess Nyukta. The sky globe, fish, from whose mouth water beats - all this creates a unique masterpiece "Night".
